Kick off First Friday 2026 with us inside the NOTO Arts Center as we celebrate a vibrant new year of art! This special opening features the Sunflower Silkers, whose stunning works blend traditional silk painting with contemporary dyeing and painting techniques. Experience the beauty, colors, flowing textures, and innovative approaches that transform silk into breathtaking works of art. It’s a fresh, inspiring way to start the year!

The NOTO Arts Center is open Wed 11-4, Thur 11-5, Fri 11-6, and Sat 11-3.

An ‘all things food’ show will feature pieces representing iconic local restaurants, dishes, and family classics. Maybe even your favorite chef, or ingredients! It’s all things food, after all.

Get ready to pack your bags for a whimsical adventure at Camp To-Sha-Ka, where art meets education in the quirkiest way possible! This vibrant exhibit is your passport to a world where local native stereotypes are playfully unpacked, and the hidden stories behind names and images come to life.

Rivers represent life in so many ways. They provide sustenance, transportation, and today a platform for entertainment, recreation and industry. They can be beautiful, or they can be ugly. They can be unifying or divisive. This show will focus on the Kansas River, and will include a history exhibit with interactive activities.

Warhol, Basquiat, or will YOU be the next pop artist?  Pop art is all around us and is a contemporary form that mixes abstract with traditional, visual with words, mixed-media and the unexpected.  It speaks on social justice or trends.  It makes a statement about who we are today and what’s important to so many.  This show will focus on works that fuse an artist’s regular style with elements of pop art.

That special song… our song, the first dance, dedication, funeral songs. Music is involved in almost every aspect of our lives, and sometimes it’s an earworm – that song that won’t quit playing in your head!
