Welcome to the NOTO Utility Box project! This project was initiated in 2020 during COVID, giving artists the opportunity to be creative while beautify the district, as well as continuing to build the NOTO community during a time in our lives when it felt so bleak. A total of eight utility boxes were painted inside the NOTO area.
This utility box was painted by Barbara Waterman-Peters, at this box you can see Otto our official NOTO mascot, who was introduced to the NOTO district by Barbara Waterman-Peters herself in 2015. Barbara’s vision for Otto has come full circle and you can see him pop up throught the district in multiple locations!
